Do Challenges work?
I did my first challenge a year ago. When I first decided to take on that particular challenge I was frightened to the point of almost being physically sick. The challenge I decided to do was videos on subjects about me. Personal information such as what my childhood was like, my first dog, stuff like that.
I had done a few videos before this challenge but nothing like what they are asking me to do. We had to do one video every day about whatever our leader decided and it had to be no more than three minutes. OMG, I was terrible for the first three to four days. I mean terrible. I kept doing them though. I pushed through that fear until I finally felt comfortable. Then I pushed myself some more and started doing videos on my own. I started doing training videos and little video tips on tools that will help you in your business.
I have done many challenges since that first one and I will do more in the future. I am doing one even now. Challenges force you out of your comfort zone because most of us, including me, will not do it on our own. I keep my eyes open and always look for those challenges that will help me further my career. Now I don’t do them just to be doing them. They have to fit my needs. Makes sense right?
Back to my original question, Do challenges work? Yes, they work like a charm. However, they only work if you do them. Don’t just join and then do it every now and then. You’re wasting your time and the trainers time. Attack it with vigor and with purpose.
I hope this will help you if you have been thinking about doing a challenge. If you think you would like to host a challenge and don’t know how I can help you design and show you how to promote and host your challenge.
